Strengths-Based Coaching: A Student’s Tool to Success

How many times have you found yourself thinking, “If only I was better at/not so weak in (insert leadership skill, academic subject, sport, etc.)…”? It is a common practice to focus on our areas of weakness or perceived deficiencies, instead of celebrating the areas in which we excel and that come naturally to us.

The strengths-based coaching you receive will focus on identifying the talents and strengths that make you unique, then applying them to your work in the classroom or professional setting, academic pursuits, leadership skills, and community involvement (all things that university admissions officers want to hear about!)

I have used a strengths-based counseling approach with hundreds of student leaders, and the feedback is unanimous: they love it, and they get a lot from it.

We have two strengths-based Coaching Session options:

  • Private strengths-based Coaching Session (1 person max): $150. This includes:
      • 30-minute online assessment; we provide you with an online code, you take it at home on your own, and then we discuss the results!
      • Private 2-hour consultation; we will go over your results in detail and develop an “action plan” for incorporating your strengths into your application process, major selection, career objectives, and leadership opportunities.
  • Small group strengths-based Coaching Session (15 person max): $99 per person. This includes:
      • 30-minute online assessment; we provide you with an online code, you take it at home on your own, and then we discuss the results!
      • 2-hour consultation within a small group; we will go over your results in detail and develop an “action plan” for incorporating your strengths into your application process, major selection, career objectives, and leadership opportunities.
